Firefighters Go To Court Alleging "Unconstitutional Search"

Eleven firefighters in Pawtucket have sued their chief, the city, and a police officer over alleged searches of their personal lockers.

The suit charges the searches were conducted at Station 6 in September without their knowledge or consent.

City officials told NBC 10 that concerns were raised about the potential for firearms being stored in the locker room, following the arrest of a former firefighter, Patrick White.

An attorney for six of the plaintiffs says a warrant was issued for White's car, but not his locker and there was no reason to search the other lockers in the station.
