Three Tornados Hit State This Week

The National Weather Service says multiple tornadoes spawned across Southern New England earlier this week.

The tornadoes touched down Wednesday afternoon in Killingly, Connecticut, Glocester, Foster and Lincoln, Rhode Island, and North Attleboro.

The maximum peak winds of the twisters were estimated to be one-hundred miles per hour.

Damage was reported, but there were no injuries.

All of the tornados were EF 1

Officials say on average we may get a half of a tornado - on average per year. We have had five so far this year.
