Man Charged With Allegedly Poisoning Fish Pond

Someone has killed off a koi fish pond twice this month in Southern New England.

According to the Rhode Island SPCA, Jeffrey Gronski was arrested for malicious injury or killing of animals.

Gronski allegedly poisoned the koi pond with fertilizer at the Stone House Motor Inn located in Foster.

The inn is owned by state Senator Gordon Rogers and his wife, who said Gronski was a long-term guest.

On her Facebook page Heidi Weston Rogers says they are devastated.

For fifteen years family and patrons have been enjoying the serenity of the pond.

Meantime, police have also been investigating a koi pond attack in Yarmouth on Cape Cod.
