(Providence, RI)--Providence wasn't the only place in the U.S. on Monday where a statue of Christopher Columbus was vandalized.Similar incidents involving a statue being covered with red paint were reported in San Francisco and Chula Vista, California.This is not the first time the statue in Providence, located at the intersection of Elmwood and Reservoir Avenues, has been doused in red paint.Crews cleaned it off on Monday with a power washer.
