State Decreases Revenue Forecast For Sports-Betting

(Providence, RI)  --  A delayed start to sports-betting in Rhode Island is causing the state's revenue forecast to be adjusted.  The new numbers, shared by analysts on Friday, reflect about 12-million dollars subtracted from projected totals from that revenue stream.  Sports-betting was originally supposed to have started last month but is now expected to begin around Thanksgiving.  Revenue is still projected to increase this budget year, up to nearly four-billion dollars.
