(Cranston, RI) -- The Cranston Fire Department says it is monitoring the health of 20 firefighters who battled a chemical fire. The fire last week at ProSys Finishing Technologies on Elmwood Avenue became a Hazmat incident. The chemical fire started to melt the firefighters' gear as they entered the building and they are now dealing with respiratory issues. Seven firefighters remain out of work as a result.
