TWEETING BRUGLIONE

Former Clinton Volunteer Loses Job After Comment About SEAL’s Widow-The consequences came swiftly for a former Hillary Clinton volunteer who took to Twitter about a fallen Navy SEAL’s wife.

Carryn Owens, the widow of U.S. Navy SEAL William “Ryan” Owens, who was killed in a counterterrorism raid in Yemen last month, was recognized and honored by president Donald Trump during his speech on Tuesday night.

Dan Grilo, a former volunteer for both former president Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton took to Twitter shortly after that moment in the address to post “Sorry, Owens' wife, you’re not helping yourself or your husband’s memory by standing there and clapping like an idiot. Trump just used you.”

Backlash from all sides was swift and so was the response from his employer. Chicago-based Liberty Advisor Group deleted him from their employee page and later made a statement. "Regardless of whether the comments in the tweet were intended to cause the hurt and anger that they ultimately generated, they were unacceptable to us, and the individual who issued the tweet is no longer affiliated with Liberty."

Grillo’s Twitter account is now deleted.
