Emergency Authorities Urge People To Stay Off Roads

(Providence, RI)  --  State emergency authorities are urging people to stay off the roads today.  Providence Emergency Management Director Kevin Kugle says, "If you don't have to be out there, stay home."  Kugle says some pretreating of roads has been done, but it makes no sense to drop a lot of chemicals and then plow it back to the curb.  Rhode Island's emergency operation center will be staffed with representatives of RIDOT, State Police, National Grid, and others.
